My little daredevil
Halle will usually try anything! I have always admired this in her. The other day she came in the house bawling because she had decided to try to the neighbor boys bike ramp without any instruction. She didn't know to pull up o the handlebars, so she jammed her little body right into them. She had bruises all over her shoulders and arms. After a shower, she was feeling okay and more than likely willing to try again tomorrow!
Making Freezer Jam
I had heard freezer jam was easy, but once my friend Melissa showed me how a few years ago, i have been hooked! We haven't bought jam since! I bought a ton of berries when they were only $1.50 per carton at Henry's and the pectin was roughly $3. So, for $4.50, i got a whole lotta super yummy jam. The boys LOVE helping! This is one of the stickiest mixtures ever, but when it is first made, it is sooo good! Drizzle it over your pancakes, waffles, etc. ((yummy))

First, putting the berries in the food processor.
First, putting the berries in the food processor.
Sneaking a sample :)
Watching them get chopped up (with no lumps for my kids... you can completely control texture)
Adding in a lot of sugar...
Boiling the pectin and water.
Adding the pectin to the strawberry mixture.
TaDa!! What we make with less than $5 and 30 minutes.
The best part always comes at the end!
Trike-A-Thon
At St. Johns Preschool they hold an anual trike-a-thon to raise money for St. Judes Children's Research Hospital. Gavin raised some money and got to learn about giving to those who are in need. Isaac insisted on participating as well and must have fell off his bike 15 times from taking the turns too quickly. It was a great experience for Gavin and we look forward to next year!
