the elmo world

Isaac is obsessed with Elmo, and this is no exaggeration! It started a few moths ago when I randomly selected an Elmo's World video for the kids to watch in the car. Isaac has always despised the car (as well as many other facets of everyday living) and I was thrilled that he liked to watch it and didn't cry and/or scream. Now we cannot enter a vehicle without him pointing to the roof and saying "Elmo Elmo". He thinks any TV or car ceiling should have Elmo on-demand. This is what he looks like in the Elmo world.

We got it!

Eric got his transfer to Riverside!! We had pretty much written it off since we found out he was 9th in line for the station, but he somehow got in! This will shave about 45 miles each way, so we are really excited.

Halle is 6!

Yikes! I can't believe she is getting so old! I feel like yesterday she started kindergarted and now there are only a few weeks left in the schoolyear. She is doing so well in school! I have to brag, she is reading at nearly a second grade level and is turning into a book worm like me! She loves Spanish and can sing "The Itsy Bitsy Spider" in Spanish, I should tape it, it's so cute! And right now, she is in an origami/paper crafting club there. We feel really lucky to have the charter school here, she is getting such a good, well-rounded education. Here are some pics of here family birthday and her Libby Lu party.

i have been terrible about updating lately... half business and half laziness. here's a little bit of what we've been up to...

... the wild animal park during spring break.... so relaxing and low stress!

... we got to see this bird's little tiny newborn underneath her when she fed it! it was really neat to see... the kids loved it!

... we also got to got to legoland while mike and melissa and their kids were here visiting...

it was quite the group- 14 kids in all!

Where have we been???

Halle is playing softball this year and I am certainly not used the sports lifestyle!! We are soo busy with all the games and practices, but it's lotsa fun. Halle loves it and prides herself on tagging out boys... not just other players, she is especially interested in the boys!
