This year when we got our annual passes, we decided that we would make sure to take each of the kids at least one time alone so they could have all of our attention and feel extra special for one day. Halle's birthday was on a Wednesday, which is usually a pretty good DLand day and happened to not be a blockout day.
My mom was nice enough to let me drop the boys off nice and early so we could get there when it was opening. Eric had to meet us there because of a court case he had that morning.

We left in a hurry, I told Halle she could get breakfast on the way. This is what she picked!
So we got to the Magic Kingdom and the first place we headed was to California Adventure to go on California Screamin'. She was too short last time we came and was so disappointed to miss it. She loved it!
Next we went to Ariel's Grotto for the special princess lunch. This is one of those horribly overpriced things that make you really despise Disney. Those greedy bloodsuckers. I was expecting to play for the "experience" of it all and eat really crappy food. I am happy to report that i was so wrong. The food was fabulous, over the top fancy for the kids sake and really great tasting for the parents. I even took pictures it was all so pretty...
The appetizer stand... a yummy fresh salad with an amazing vinaigrette, tomatoes & cheeses, and jello with fresh fruit.
Some of the best bread ever... and I have had a lot of really good bread at some of the best restaurants! :)
Dessert platter included white chocolate shell, berries, mini cheesecakes, lava cake, incredibly good brownies, and cookie bars. Even the Ariel was edible and made from white chocolate.
When you first get there the kids a picture with Ariel and then the 5 featured princesses for that day make their way around the room so that each table gets a visit. So much nicer than waiting in line.

Sounds like you guys had fun! Halle's breakfast choice was, um, interesting... We did the same thing for McKenzie's birthday and I still can't stop thinking about the food at Ariel's Grotto! We went the other day and McKenzie wanted to eat there again -- no way! That's like a once ever 5 years kinda meal for the kids...

What a great thing for your kids to have a day with just mom and dad. Looks like you guys had a blast. I as well love her choice for breakfast. Then again, given the choice Dan would probably choose the same.
