3 Days at the Happiest Place on Earth

We had an amazing time at Disneyland & California Adventure the first week in February! The weather was BEAUTIFIL (60-ish) and the lines averaged about 15 minutes or less. Isaac even did much better than expected in his stroller! We went with Brian and Melanie and is was great, we switched off going on all the fun rides and the kids loved getting to ride all the rides two times in a row!!

Halle's Ride Pick: Haunted Mansion & Space Mountain

Gavin's Ride Pick: Being true to his love for Pirates, he responded with Pirates of the Carribean, but he was actually a little afraid of the "hills" this time! Really, he seemed to like Buzz Lightyear the most.

Isaac's Ride Pick: Isaac was not at all enchanted with any of Disneyland, in fact. I think he only enjoyed King triton's Carosel and the fat Catapillar Train at Ca Adventure. He absolutely hated the huge Ferris Wheel at California Adventure, and I guess the swinging cages were a bit much for him!

election day, baby!

I am not sure what I am more excited for tomorrow, our trip to Disneyland or the Presidential Primary! I love election Day and am particularly excited to see the outcome of this primary in Cali.

The Best of Both Worlds

Who says you can't have it all? A quick 25 minute drive up to Oak Glenn and we were in the snow. Everyone loved it, even Isaac! Halle had a great time sledding down the hills, on a boogie board of course, while Gavin ate snowball after snowball.

The Rose Parade

I could not think of a better way to start off the new year!! Eric's office had great street level seats for all of us! I can't believe how beautiful the floats were in person... the tv does no justice! The kids loved the floats and really had a great time, even though they had to wake up at 5am.

Isaac's Affection for Appliances

Isaac is quite fond of all things electric. He loves the dryer, my flat iron, the vacuum (only while off- turn it on to see him scream like a little girl) plugs of all shapes, size and voltage. But by far his favorite thing is the dishwasher! As soon as he hears me open the door, which is an unfortunate 100 times per day, he can appear from anywhere in 5 seconds flat! He loves to chew on the silverware (clean or not... gross, I know) and this ensures I can get those dishes done!!
