Back That Thing Up

My laptop is finally fixed after a couple of weeks of severe depression!! I was so worried that I had lost (1) all the photos that have not been printed or backed up (we're taking thousands) and (2) all my itunes that were yet again, not backed up. So I have committed to always backing up any new and important downloads and encourage everyone to do the same before it is too late!

Happy [Belated] Birthday

Well, Eric turned 31 on the 17th! I thought I was being pretty sneaky by surprising him after work Friday night and going to dinner. Our friend Mike had scheduled a ride-a-long for Friday so his wife and I were planning to drive out to Riverside and all to the Elephant Bar for dinner. Mike was supposed to have Eric stop at the mall to get something really quick and we would be there for dinner. While we were driving there, Mike called to say that Eric was adamant that they not stop at Gymboree to get Melissa the "shirt" she wanted. He was trying to talk in code and ask what exactly it was that she wanted. I had forgotten my phone by mistake, so I couldn't even call Eric and tell him to stop. My excessive shopping habits/knowledge finally got me into trouble. Mike called back a few minutes later and said Eric had called Gymboree to put Melissa's shirt on hold and he would pick it up Saturday after work! Sooo stubborn! We finally devised a plan to explain why I would be calling from Melissa's phone (darn caller id) and told him that it was no big deal if he was later getting home, that I didn't mind if he was late. Well, long story short, he WOULDN'T budge! After pleading and begging, I couldn't keep it under control any longer and started laughing. Then he FINALLY guessed that I was in fact at the mall!! That's my very stubborn husband! We had a good laugh anyway, and some very interesting conversations with Mike (haha). Happy Birthday, Babe... enjoy your new ipod and leave mine alone now!!! Love you!!

Spirit Days

It was Homecoming at Halle's school this week. They let the elementary have some dress-up days to celebrate too. We had a lot of fun with them. She was Hannah Montana for "Rock Star Day", and my mom was nice enough to whip up a cape at the last minute for "Superhero Day" ... she was Super Halle.

I had to take a picture of Halle's jeans. I got her a pair of True Religion's on ebay and I think they are the cutest things ever!! Just like Mom!!! :D

Kidsfaire

My mom and I took the kids to the kids fair in OC last week. It was such a nice day, we actually needed jackets! The funniest thing that happened that day was that Halle's forehead got pecked by a bird! There was a wildlife photo booth with some exotic birds. They let the kids walk right up to the animals that were just behind a child's waist-high fence. There was a tall bird that looked like an emu, but with really pretty feathers, and it was really close to Halle. My mom and I were standing a ways back with the stroller when I noticed the bird was fixed in on her face. I tried to call to her to move back, but it pecked her right in the forehead! Of course, she was traumitized! It was kinda funny, at least it didn't get her eye. Anyway, besides the pecking drama, it was a fun day!

By the wiener mobile! (they even got wiener whistles)

Gavin and Darth Vader and a very aged Princess Leia

They had ice-skating on synthetic ice. It was really interesting. They wore regular ice skates and fell frequently just like real ice skating.

After the Libby Lu booth.
